Development of Forest Villages Under the Special Central Assistance

Ministry of Tribal Affairs allocated a sum of Rs.150.00 crore for Development of Forest Villages under the Special Area Programme of Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan during 2008-2009.

Out of the allocated Rs.150.00 crore, the Ministry released Rs.149.52 crore to the State Governments in 2008-09 as per the proposals received from the State Government for providing basic minimum facilities and services to the forest villages. Statement showing the state-wise release and utilization for the year 2008-09 is as under:
